ATHLETIC DIRECTOR CHRIS INGLE

Chris is from Conyers, Georgia.  He earned a B.S. in History from Georgia College and State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), from Valdosta State University.  He served on the Alumni Board of Directors for GCSU for many years.   

Previously, Chris owned and operated Ingle Courier Service, Inc. for 14 years and served his community in many ways including Leadership Rockdale and Leadership Georgia.  In 2001, he was recognized as the Rockdale County Small Business Person of the Year.  He also served as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of United Way, Chairman of various fundraising boards, and many other community and corporate boards of directors.  He recently served as the Chairman of the Board for the Greene County Chamber of Commerce and is the current Chairman of Youth Leadership Greene. He serves as the GHSA Region 8A-Public Vice President as well as the President of the Northeast Georgia Middle School Athletic League. He is also the GHSA region/area coordinator for golf.

Chris is in his tenth year at Lake Oconee Academy.  In 2023, Ingle was recognized as the Region and State Athletic Director of the Year for his classification by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association. He is the current varsity volleyball head coach, varsity girls golf coach, and former varsity girls soccer head coach.  His teams have never failed to qualify for the GHSA State Playoffs and include several Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and Final Four appearances. The girls golf team won its 6th straight State Championship in 2023 in his first year as Head Coach. Ingle helped introduce LOA into varsity competition in the Georgia High School Association and middle school competition in the Central Savannah River Association.  LOA middle school has won over 20 middle school athletic championships since 2015-16.  The middle school Titans currently compete in the Northeast Georgia Middle School Athletic League. LOA won its first two GHSA State Championships in golf and was the State Runner-Up in boys soccer in 2019. LOA currently has 13 GHSA State Championships and 9 State Runner-Ups.  The school won the Female and Overall GADA Directors Cups in the 2022-23 school year. These awards signify the top female and overall athletics programs in GHSA A-Division 2. From late 2010 through 2014, Ingle taught various subjects in Rockdale County public schools and coached varsity football and track.  He lives in Greensboro with his wife, Kelly and two daughters, Sarah Grace and Amelia.
