HEAD COACH patrick stewart

Lake Oconee Academy is pleased to introduce Patrick Stewart as the new head of the school wide football program for the upcoming school year.  

Stewart played college football at Middle Tennessee State University under Coach Rick Stockstill. Coach Stockstill instilled his passion for coaching and leading young men. After college, Stewart was a Defensive Assistant for the University of Georgia under Coach Kirby Smart where he learned how a successful and high-standard program is run.

Stewart most recently served as the Defensive Coordinator for LOA. Prior to that, he was the Running Backs/Linebackers coach and the Special Teams/Recruiting Coordinator at George Walton Academy in Monroe, Georgia. He was also the Head Football Coach for Loganville Christian Academy, reenergizing the program to finish as the runner-up in the region and reaching the 2nd round of state playoffs. He earned the 2019 Coach of the Year for Walton County.

Stewart’s passion is helping student athletes realize their dreams and aspire to reach the next level. While at GWA and LCA, he ensured 100% of the student athletes who wanted to play at the collegiate level were able to achieve their dream to play college football on scholarship.

Stewart lives in the lake area with his wife, Jordan, and look forward to continuing to be involved and grow with this community.
