Greensboro, Ga. (March 22, 2021) – The Lake Oconee Academy varsity girls soccer program announced its 2021 GHSA Region 8A All-Region team selections:

Emma Parker, senior - First Team, Midfielder
Kensi Stevens, sophomore - Second Team, Forward
Honorable Mention - Sophia Bradley (junior), Whitley Cannon (sophomore), Ava Johnson (sophomore), Elisa Garcia-Carreras (sophomore), Lily Hartrich (senior), Anika Imhof (freshman), Keerti Ahluwalia (freshman).

“Our coaching staff and I are very proud of our girls who earned All-Region honors,” said Head Coach Jacob Baxley. “These honors are a true accomplishment in a region like ours, which is filled with several great teams and players.

“Senior Emma Parker represents LOA as Region 8-A's highest voted first-team player. She scored 22 goals and had seven assists on the season. She was our team captain and greatest offensive weapon. Sophomore Kensi Stevens earned second-team All-Region honors with six goals and seven assists in only seven games. She brought a great boost of energy and skill to the team when she joined after basketball season. These players, including our Honorable Mention selections and the team as a whole, are outstanding as team players and as individuals. They embody the past and future of our program, and have many great things in their future.”

In addition to the All-Region selections, the following players were selected for Lake Oconee Academy team awards:

Most Valuable Player - Emma Parker

Best Offensive Player: Ava Johnson 

Best Defensive Player: Keerti Ahluwalia

Iron Titan Coaches Award: Kiera Richard (junior), Elisa Garcia-Carreras, Anika Imhof
