Athletic Director Chris Ingle
Chris Ingle is from Conyers, Georgia. He earned a B.S. in History from Georgia College and State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), from Valdosta State University. He now serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for GCSU.
Previously, Ingle owned and operated Ingle Courier Service, Inc. for 14 years and served his community in many ways including Leadership Rockdale and Leadership Georgia. In 2001, he was recognized as the Rockdale County Small Business Person of the Year. He also served as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of United Way, chairman of various fundraising boards, and many other community and corporate boards of directors.
Ingle joined Lake Oconee Academy in 2014. His mission is to develop leaders through education based athletics. He serves as the Athletic Director for the Upper School which includes middle and high school grade levels. He helped introduce LOA into varsity competition in the Georgia High School Association and middle school competition in the Central Savannah River Association. LOA middle school won its first three athletic championships in 2015-16. LOA high school won the GHSA Region 7-A sportsmanship award for the 2016-17 school year as well. From late 2010 through 2014, he taught various subjects in Rockdale County public schools and coached varsity football and track. Ingle lives in Greensboro with his wife, Kelly and two daughters, Sarah Grace and Amelia.
Assistant Athletic Director Julie Brooker
Julie Brooker grew up in LaGrange, GA. She graduated from LaGrange Academy as Salutatorian and was a 1st team All-State athlete in softball, basketball, and soccer. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Sports Studies. Brooker was also a three-year letterman for the Bulldog softball team.
Brooker has 11 years of softball head coaching experience with an overall record of 237-93. Her previous teams have claimed two State Championship and four State Runner-Up Titles as well as two Final Four finishes. Brooker is a four-time Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Softball Coach of the Year. Brooker also has both head and assistant coaching experience in varsity basketball and soccer. She has been a Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle Leader for five years and has led two FCA mission trips to the Dominican Republic.
Julie is married to Coach Michael Brooker and they have two children Wesley and Charley.
Middle School Athletic Director Josh Martz
A Greene County native and veteran educator with more than 12 years of teaching and coaching experience, Josh Martz joined LOA in 2015. He earned a B.S. in History and a Masters in Education from Georgia College and State University, and a Specialist in Teacher Leadership from Kennesaw State University. Martz teaches Economics, AP® Economics and U.S. History. He lives in Bogart with his wife Charlie and daughter Caroline.
